The Studio's first solo foray into hospitality design, Wilde Lisbon marks an exciting new chapter for Stephanie Barba Mendoza — bringing her richly layered decorative language to the world of hotels.
Located moments from Avenida da Liberdade, Wilde Lisbon has been conceived as a social living room for the city. Drawing on Lisbon's storied maritime soul, the Studio's design reimagines the city's port-town heritage through a contemporary and playful lens. Curved lines mimic the motion of the Tagus River, a tidal palette of vivid blues and greens grounds the hotel in its coastal context, and iconic blue-and-white tile patterns are reinterpreted with a characterful twist. Natural materials — marble, ceramic, mosaic and timber — are juxtaposed with tactile mohair velvets, bouclé and linen, while a co-working mezzanine shifts the mood entirely, drawing from Portugal's rugged shores and rolling hills through warm, sun-soaked hues and organic forms.

Designing Wilde Lisbon with Stephanie Barba Mendoza
“Step through the doors of Wilde Lisbon and you’ll feel it instantly: a sense of movement, light, and stories layered into every surface. The ground floor doesn’t just welcome you in… it draws you into Lisbon itself.”
